Three Industry Leader Experts Join the Team

The introductory board members, Bill McDonough, Joe Vaillancourt, and David Aardsma will help BioGreen360 continue to revolutionize food waste management in an environmentally friendly and economically sustainable way.

About The Board Members:

Bill McDonough

Mr. McDonough is a globally recognized leader in sustainable design and development. He is an architect with William McDonough + Partners, an advisor to global leaders through McDonough Innovation, and consultant through MBDC, the creators of the framework for Cradle to Cradle Certified™ products. Mr. McDonough is also active with the World Economic Forum and served as the inaugural chair of the World Economic Forum’s Meta-Council on the Circular Economy. He has written extensively on design as the first signal of human intent having co-authored Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things (2002) and its follow up, The Upcycle: Beyond Sustainability—Designing for Abundance (2013). He has held academic positions at the University of Virginia, Cornell University, and currently at Stanford University. Time magazine recognized Mr. McDonough as a “Hero for the Planet,” noting: “His utopianism is grounded in a unified philosophy that—in demonstrable and practical ways—is changing the design of the world.”

David Aardsma

Mr. Aardsma has spent 35 years in the waste management and environmental sectors helping advance the commercialization of innovative solutions.  He is a strategic sales, marketing, and operations C-level executive with decades of experience growing businesses and creating transformational results in both B2B and B2C business environments.  His ability to move easily from vision and strategy to implementation and follow-through, drive innovations and change and build highly responsive, customer focused organizations has enriched all his work.

Joseph Vaillancourt

Mr. Vaillancourt has spent 25 years in the energy and environmental sectors helping advance the commercialization of innovative solutions. Mr. Vaillancourt spent 15 years at Waste Management where he was one of the founding members of the corporate venturing group responsible for developing new and innovative growth platforms in the environmental, sustainability, solid waste, recycling, energy and cleantech sectors. Throughout his career, Joe has led in excess of $2 bil of debt and equity financings as well as M&A activities and has helped commercialize 15 environmental technologies. Joe holds a BS in finance as well as an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and has held Director positions in over 15 companies.
